YEARLY RECAP: 2023 HAPPY NEW YEAR!

 

It's that time of year where I share a little round up of the year that was. We also use this time of year to do some family photos. I adore looking back over the years and looking at photos we take to see how much the family has grown. This year we headed down to Henley Lake park here in the Wairarapa, and found a cute little spot under the trees. It's a great park where you can take a walk, feed the ducks or even take a picnic.

2023 what a year! I don't know how we managed to fit everything in. We got to enjoy a lot more international travel this year with Belle and I going to Singapore and Paris, which I shared in two parts (part one & part two) along with London for a ultimate girls trip! I also did a trip to Japan with my Mum and we visited Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto and Osaka (blog post still to come).

We managed to squeeze in some travel around New Zealand and decided to get our Winter fix and headed to Taupo for a family holiday and to celebrate Arlo’s and Belle’s birthdays. Our kid's birthdays are only two days apart! Haha! It means I have to be super organised! We are not big on presents and much prefer to celebrate with experiences. It wouldn't be a birthday trip away without some glamping! Nestled in the mature native bush in the King Country region, you'll find this off the grid wooden cabin called Black Bivvy. A great family glamping spot here in New Zealand.

The best part about 2023 was growing as a family of four!  We took the opportunity to take some new family photos with LightbyNika. I also got to enjoy a boujee picnic with Bohemian Nights, Wairarapa’s luxury picnic event stylist for my birthday this year under the cherry blossoms and its the prettiest picnic I've ever seen!

We finished the year sharing on social media that our family is growing! Number three means we’re going to be outnumbered! Our life is going to get even more hectic and crazy but full of love and those breathtaking moments. Where ever we go, whatever we do, it’s those special moments with my children and seeing those experiences through their eyes that makes me feel like the luckiest person in the world!

We are looking forward to 2024! We can’t wait to continue documenting our memories and sharing our adventures with you all.
