J&J Noosa

During our visit to the Gold Coast we also went up and spent some time in Noosa. Noosa is hands down my favourite place in Australia! If I had to pack my bags and move to one place tomorrow for the rest of my life, Noosa would be that place.

It’s only a three hour drive from the Gold Coast. Noosa is one of the most charming and beautiful places to visit with its long beaches, beautiful houses, an abundance of restaurants and boutiques and many surfers!

I booked us the cutest Airbnb during our stay in Noosa. Let us introduce you to The Little Red Barn!

If you’re dreaming of the perfect country escape, you will fall in love with this hidden gem. This quaint Red Barn boasts an outdoor bathtub, a heated pool and breathtaking views.

Over the years the 'Little Red Barn' has become one of the most 'wish-listed' holiday homes in Australia and it has featured in countless housing magazines. I had booked well in advance as this property is very popular!

Featuring three spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large open-plan living and dining area and a charming kitchen, this astonishing hideaway offers authentic countryside accommodation surrounded by absolute serenity.

But surely the best design feature of the home has to be the circular concrete swimming pool that not only has views for days, but looks like it’s fresh out of the pages of Vogue.

You could even spot friendly locals hopping in our backyard right from the pool!

Did we also mention the ultra-lush outdoor bathtub? What more could you possibly want?

The Little Red Barn provides the perfect set up where you can just let the world go by and enjoy being in the moment whilst immersing yourself in the beautiful countryside views and reconnecting with nature and your loved ones. It was the perfect escape and had room for all of us.

During our stay we had lunch at Noosa Surf Life Saving Club. They do their famous bucket of fresh prawns here, which goes perfectly with a side of freshly shucked oysters. We come here every time we go to Noosa as they have the best beachfront views of Noosa Main Beach and is the perfect place to enjoy a drink or two.

You can't come to Noosa without visiting the stunning Noosa National Park. This amazing park provides spectacular scenery of the Noosa Headland with winding trails leading you along the pristine Queensland coastline.

We got up early one morning to enjoy this place as it's very popular and can get quite busy during the day. Arriving early, we got some amazing morning light which made for some beautiful photos. I don't think I need to say much more about this magical place as you can see from the photos, it's just breathtaking!

During our stay my bestie Trudy and her family came to visit us. It was really special as it was the first time we got to meet each other's daughters due to covid. It was nice to hang out with them and enjoy a wonderful lunch at Light Years which is located in Noosa Junction. The menu here is designed to be shared with a selection of Asian-inspired bites just bursting with bold flavours. I only managed to take a photo of our cocktails and totally forgot to take any other photos because I got distracted by the amazing food and the fantastic company! This is our new favourite restaurant in Noosa.

We did manage to get a cute family snap before saying our goodbyes.

Noosa Beach! Known as Noosa Main Beach, it is one of the only Australian beaches on the East Coast which is North facing and this is reflected in the calm waters here, which are famed for being ideal swimming seas for the entirety of the year. The ocean water is so much warmer here than in New Zealand.

I had been dreaming of the moment of jumping into the ocean ever since I had Belle and let me tell you, it was everything! Healing, refreshing, invigorating and restoring. Oh and yes, I did get the kids matching togs! I’m that mum!

Like I said , we LOVE Noosa and are already looking forward to a return trip!
