Dar Sofil ~ Marrakech

We ended our trip in luxury and stayed at the Dar Sofil resort, which is located outside the Medina and a stone’s throw away from Marrakech itself. As soon as we arrived we felt like we had escaped to our own little paradise. This is a beautiful hotel with old olive trees and magnificent gardens with breathtaking views of the Altas mountains. As soon as we entered it's grand gates we were in complete awe of this place!

Ready to come and explore with me?

I purchased this maxi dress from Get Frocked they have loads of bump friendly dresses.  This exact style has sold out, so I have found some similar options below.

One thing that made our stay here exceptional was the staff! They literally became our second family. They were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much of an ask. They did everything humanly possible to make sure our stay was as special as it was. They had even surprised us and decorated our room with roses for our babymoon. So sweet and thoughtful of them!

The food was amazing and is cooked by their very own on site chef. Everything was delicious and took eating for two to a whole new level! Each morning we woke up to find breakfast served on our own private balcony over looking the pool. Breakfast was the classic Moroccan spread of breads, eggs, fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice including freshly baked muffins and yummy crepes too!

The great thing about this resort is that it only has six villas in the whole place so it truly felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. As parents to be we made sure to lap everything up and use this time to relax and enjoy this time alone together. If we weren’t lounging in cabanas outside in the sun, we were floating in the heated infinity edge pool.

In the evenings we retired back to our room and put on our bathroom robes ready for a candle lit dinner.  Having our own private chef and knowing that I was pregnant, he always checked if we had any special requests. The team here at Dar Sofil always went above and beyond to make sure me and bump were doing ok. I truly love how Dar Sofil offers a very personalised service and a unique experience for each guest.

We didn't have a lot on our to-do list here other than relax and lounge by the pool. However if you really wanted to unwind they also have a gorgeous spa onsite in which you can enjoy a range of treatments including, massages, facial and a traditional Hamman. You will also find this incredible Jacuzzi which we enjoyed floating around in. There's also tennis court on site too, I don't play but if you do that's a bonus!

Over all, Dar Sofil was truly amazing and just what we wanted for a babymoon. The perfect place for two 'parents to be' to relax and come back feeling refreshed!
