The best of 2017 ~ Happy New Year

Happy New Year’s everybody! I can’t quite find the words to sum up 2017! What a year! I love to pour our memories onto the blog and regularly read through it as though its someone elses diary. Capturing moments and documenting them is one of my favourite things to do. I have spent the last few days looking back at some of my favourite parts of 2017. I’ve got to say we totally smashed 2017! I still can’t get over how much we jam packed into one year! Here are some of the highlights!

JANUARY

Last year we decided that we wanted to spend New Year's eve in a cosy English cottage in the country side. You can see more about our English road trip to Devon including seeing the famous Stonehenge here.

FEBRUARY:

My first visit to the prettiest cake shop, Peggy Porschen and not my last visit! Peggy Porschen itself is Instagram heaven! If not for the cute little pink plates, then definitely for the flower frame for that perfect selfie! You can read the full post here.

MARCH:

Our trip to Canada was one of our most favourite trips of the year! All it took was one visit to Toronto and we fell in love. I actually had to bribe Jake to get on the plane to leave. The Harlocks were stupendous hosts, Toronto was awesome and the Canadian folk were amazingly friendly and welcoming…We will defiantly be back! I shared our trip in two parts which you can see here Part 1 and Part 2.

APRIL:

Exploring the Côte d’Azur which is probably better known as The French Riviera. Situated on the Mediterranean coast in South-eastern France, it has been on our travel list for quite some time. When we heard that Jake's siblings and their partners were coming over to our side of the world we decided to plan a family holiday and tick it off our bucket list! It was so nice to be able to share this experience with them ...Three couples, five destinations, six bags...Lets do this! I shared our trip in 4 parts ~ Part 1 ~ Nice, Part 2 ~ Monaco, Part 3 ~ Antibes, Part 4 ~ Cannes and Saint Tropez along with our tour we did with Blu Riviera Tours which you can read here.

MAY:

French road trip? Oui, oui! I have a long running love affair with France and just a couple hours drive from Paris you will find Lorie Valley. Loire Valley has been high on my list of places to visit. Here you can find real fairy-tale castles surrounded by the most gorgeous scenery, vineyards and quaint little French villages! You can read the full post here.

JUNE:

We decided to head to one of my favourite little English cities called Bath. If you ask anyone in England they will say that Bath is a must see place. I absolutely agree with them, Bath is beautiful. So much so that the entire city has been made a UNESCO World Heritage Site with it's gorgeous historic buildings and it's quintessentially English charm. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a corner of Bath that is not pretty. You can read the full post here.

JULY:

Over Summer, Jake and I decided we wanted to see more of the UK and do a few weekend getaways. We ticked off Bath and Brighton however, we were very excited for our next destination; the ever so charming Cotswolds! I shared our trip in two parts which you can see here Part 1 and Part 2.

AUGUST:

I meet up with friend and photographer Maxeen Kim for lunch in Notting Hill. Notting Hill is one of London’s most iconic neighbourhoods. It is crammed with gorgeous little boutiques, restaurants & cafes. We went in search for one café in particular, Farm Girl Café. I've had my eye on this one ever since I came across it on Instagram. It's a spot that many people love and now I know why! You can read the full post here.

SEPTEMBER:

All year I had been so excited about our trip to Los Angeles! I was literally counting down the days because it's one of those places I've been dying to visit. The other reason for being so excited is we met my sister and her husband with my two adorable nephews there! We were ready to have the most jam packed, fun filled holiday EVER! I shared our trip in two parts which you can see here Part 1 and Part 2. You can also find our full post about our trip to Disneyland and also Universal Studios. We also had the pleasure of spending an evening with the beautiful and extremely talented Biancca Wallace Photography while in LA which you can read about here.

OCTOBER:

I was super excited when the girls in my family decided that we should do a girls trip to Greece! Talk about ultimate location! My mum, aunties and myself flew in from all over the world. I literally felt like we were all in the movie, Mama Mia! I was over the moon when Jake flew out to meet me at the end of my girls trip in Greece. It was so nice to have some 'us' time and the perfect way to end my trip. You can read about my time in Mykonos here and also Santorini here. We booked a luxury catamaran tour through Sunset Oia which you can read about here. We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to do a photo shoot with Roberta Facchini! You can see the full post here.

NOVEMBER:

I've been wanting to check out Oxford for a long time and this charming little city did not disappoint! One of the world's most famous university cities, Oxford is only a two hour drive from London making it the perfect weekend getaway! You can check out the full post here.

DECEMBER:

Mayfair is one of my favourite areas in London. Mayfair is where Londoners come to live the high life. A paradise for foodies and fashionistas, the area is ideal for those with a taste for the finer things in life. It’s the perfect place to spend a luxurious day. You can see my full post of my favorite places here.

And there we go! Another fun packed year! We are already planning adventures for 2018 and can’t wait to share them all with you! x
