A while ago, we did a couples styled shoot at the Wallace Collection with Maxeen Kim Photography It has been on my London bucket list for a while and knew it would make for an incredible back drop. As many of you know Jake is normally behind the camera capturing the moments you see on the blog. So it's always nice when I get him in front of the camera (though it does take a little bit of bribery).
The Wallace Collection is a beautiful London mansion which has been converted into a museum. It is a real treasure trove of furniture, porcelain and paintings. Each room is an exhibition in itself. They are all different, but each one of them is portrayed through beautiful colours and decorations that fit within a theme.
When we arrived we headed for the beautiful covered courtyard in the middle of the museum which it well worth the visit itself. It is a big spacious area which is flooded with light that also has a café and restaurant. The perfect spot to pick up a coffee and sweet treat.

His ~ I love this burgundy colour on Jake. It’s such a versatile piece that will slot seamlessly into any outfit whether dressing it up with a shirt underneath like Jake has done here, or dressed down with jeans for the weekend.

Hers ~ I'm wearing one of my favourite dresses that I purchased off ASOS and I'm happy to say that they now stock it in a range of different colours. The beauty of this dress speaks for itself with its incredible lace detailing and lovely midi length. I decided to add some burgundy accessories which pulled my outfit in with Jakes.
Wandering around the richly decorated rooms you feel like you are in someone's private home. It is simply amazing the range of artwork they have and the glorious surroundings only add to the experience. The best part is that it's completely free to visit.
We loved spending the morning with Maxeen Photography exploring Wallace Collection. It was so much fun wandering around pretending that it was our own house. I'm pretty use to being in front on the lens, however I think my hubby has got quite a knack for it. What do you think? I think I need to get him in front of the camera more!
