It’s finally the most wonderful time of the year again and one way of getting into the Christmas spirit is by visiting Winter Wonderland. A trip to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park is an annual tradition for Jake and I. The name says it all. In the heart of London, Winter Wonderland becomes the place to head to for festive fun and gets bigger and better each year!
To get into the Christmas spirit, I put on my Ruby Woo lipstick and pulled on my red Hunters. It wouldn't be Christmas without a Christmas jumper too! This may just be the best Christmas jumper I have ever brought....Are you ready to see why?
No No No?
Ho Ho Ho!
How cool is that! It has reversible sequined embroidery on the front. Just stroke the sequins upwards to show one motif and downwards to show another depending if you've feeling naughty or nice!
We made our way to one of the most popular attractions, the Magical Ice Kingdom. This is an enchanting walk through, filled with awe-inspiring snow and ice sculptures. Every year is different and every year they continue to surprise and amaze!
We headed to the Ice Bar where we were handed cosy winter cloaks to keep us warm in the sub-zero environment. Included in the price is a complimentary cocktail, served in your own ice glass! The Magical Ice Kingdom and Ice Bar attractions are very popular at Winter Wonderland so I would recommend booking tickets in advance. You can do so via the Winter Wonderland Hyde Park website.
We spent the day acting like big kids with two of our loveliest friends, Hannah and Matt. Indulging in mulled wine, sweet treats and attempting to win a giant soft toy! We loved strolling around the Christmas markets looking at all the unique gifts and sweet treats while watching all the thrilling attractions and rides the park has to offer.
After all the walking around we were in need of more refreshments and I knew the best place to pick up a drink. The carousel bar! Yes that's right, a carousel where you can enjoy a festive drink on a slowly rotating bar!
Since we've been to Winter Wonderland quite a few times now, I have managed to find the good food spots! If you head to the Giant Ferris wheel, they have some great street food vans there. Also don't forget to pick up a mulled wine or cider from the Artic Lodge Bar which also has live music.
After a few mulled wines we were feeling brave and made our way to the Haunted Mansion ride....
We made it through the Hunted Mansion and took a celebratory photo with this guy.
We screamed with laughter when we got more than we bargained for when he decided to move.
We had also booked tickets to see The Nutcracker On Ice which is a brand new attraction to celebrate Winter Wonderlands 10th anniversary! I can't tell you how excited I was to watch this after hearing about the shows sold-out seasons at the Royal Albert Hall and several world tours! It was amazing watching all the performers whizzing around on the ice making it look so easy!
*We were given complementary tickets to attend The Magical Kingdom and Ice Bar by Hamilton Ice Sculptors. As always my opinions are my own and completely honest.
