I had been told by many people that we should visit the Duck & Waffle. We had heard so many amazing things about the food and views, particularly their brunch menu. Brunch is only served on Saturday and Sundays, which means it can get booked up quickly. I was super organised and made an advanced booking for a 10 o’clock Saturday brunch with good friends of ours. Oh my gosh! Duck and Waffle did not disappoint ~ Located on the 40th floor of Heron Tower in Shoreditch, Duck & Waffle is the highest restaurant in London and you get to look out over the whole city while you eat the most incredible food. The menu centres around duck, duck eggs and waffles unsurprisingly. We all ‘ooohed’ and ‘ahhhed’ as every dish was presented and how incredible everything tasted.
I promise Jake and I were very excited and happy to be there, however the sun was quite bright, which explains the squinting.
We ordered some BBQ spicy crispy pigs ears which came in a brown bag which we tore open...We all found these so addictive and tasty!
Yellowfin tuna with watermelon, black olive and english mustard was simply mouth watering!
Banana brûlée with homemade nutella, vanilla ice cream and peanut crunch, who said you can't have dessert for breakfast?!
Duck and waffle with fried duck egg and mustard maple syrup. How could we not order the restaurants signature dish?!
Duck and Waffle is a must do in London. They do get booked up super fast especially for brunch, but they are open 24hours a day. So, if you get peckish in the middle of the night this could become the ultimate midnight snack destination!
