Wedding Wednesday: J&J's Ultimate Wedding Checklist

Having nightmares about your big day turning into a disaster? Don't worry, we’ve got you covered. Continuing on with our wedding series...Today we present you with J&J's ultimate wedding checklist! Not gonna lie, wedding planning can be a bit of a headache! Co-ordinating all the different bits and pieces, we thought a basic list would be more helpful instead of a monthly planner because obviously each wedding is different, I've helped plan weddings in less than 10 days! Then there are others that take 2 years (me!). There honestly isn't any time frame on planning your special day. I have put this together to help you plan one of the best days of their lives, easily & effortlessly. 

Let the planning begin!

· Organise engagement party 

· Choose date, day and time of your wedding

· Discuss budget with those who are putting money towards this event

· Decide on your wedding theme/style

· Compile guest list

· Discuss details of the ceremony with officiate (minister, priest or celebrant)

· Choose your Bridal party

· Choose and book photographer/ videographer

· Choose and book musicians/DJ

· Choose and book the flowers/ florist

· Choose and order wedding invitations and stationery

· Choose and order wedding attire for yourselves and your bridal party

· Order your wedding bands

· Choose and order the wedding cake

· Apply for marriage licence

· Select and have fittings for the wedding gown and the bridesmaid’s attire and accessories

· Select and have fittings for the groom and the groomsmen’s suit and accessories

· Compile gift list or organise a register

· Decide where you want to go on honeymoon and make reservations

· Book accommodation for wedding night

· Organise time off work for the wedding and the honeymoon, plus a few planning days before hand

· Send invitations. Keep spreadsheet of RSVP’s as they return

· Arrange wedding rehearsal

· Re-confirm the details of all major services the week before the wedding

· Buy presents for bridal party and your future spouse

· Arrange where bridal party will dress on the day

· Help out of town guests with accommodation

· Choose an MC and notify anyone required to make a speech

· Write your vows (if you have decided to do your own)

· Arrange reception seating and write out place cards if you are having a sit down dinner

· Give list of invitees for your stag/hens night to maid of honour/best man

· Book trial appointments with your makeup artist and hair stylist.

· Wear in your wedding shoes

· Make sure all legal documents (marriage licence, pre-nuptial agreements, passports etc) are in order

· Organise table setting and other decorations

· Check best man has the rings and service sheets

· Pack for your honeymoon

· Schedule some quiet time for you and your fiancé to relax before the big day
