I don’t know about you, but my Facebook page is starting to blow up with
engagement announcements! I've been meeting with some lovely newly engaged couples and having the pleasure of showing them around Boomrock. I absolutely love newly engaged couples because there is so much love and excitement around getting engaged! Although getting engaged is so amazing, shortly after your left wondering “where the heck do I start?” Not to worry because today I’ve put together some tips that will help you with your first planning stages....are you ready?!
The two most important people on your wedding day are the bride and groom. It’s your day, have it the way you want it! Ask each other what sort of wedding the other has envisaged. What time of year? What kind of style?
Get organized
Time to get some inspiration! Browse Pinterest and wedding websites and of course buy a wedding magazine or two!
Talk Budget
Money, Money Moooonnneeyy! It's important to talk about this early on with your fiancé and both families.
Weddings can be very expensive so it's best to have this conversation early on so the official planning can start!
Set a date
To be safe, choose few possible dates to have your wedding. Just in
case your preferred date isn’t available. A lot of venues book up fast, some even book up two years in advance!
Start a guest list
Off course you want to invite
everyone you know to your wedding. Of course the more people you have the more you spend so this is why you do
your budget first....
Research venues
Book the location, before signing with any of your vendors. It is important to have the backdrop for your special day before you start to choose your other vendors.
These are just the first initial planning stages hopefully after talking them
through you should have have more of an idea of want for your wedding.
