J&J in Santorini

Our next location was beautiful Santorini with its stunning white buildings and blue church domes set against the incredible backdrop of the Aegean sea. We caught a ferry from Mykonos, if you missed my Mykonos post you can check it out here. As soon as you start to get closer to Santorini it’s one of the most incredible sights to see…hundreds of little white houses all perched on top of a massive cliff! Stunning!

We stayed at Blue Angel Villa right in the heart of Fira, just a few minutes’ walk from the bustling shops and beautiful restaurants. As soon as we entered the villa it felt like our own slice of Greek island paradise! The villa was traditionally designed with lovely blue tiling and white wash walls.

My favourite part of the villa would have to be its beautiful rooftop jacuzzi and breathtaking views overlooking the sea!

On our first evening in Fira we went to Argo for dinner with its breathtaking views and food to match. It has a range of traditional Greek dishes prepared with fresh local ingredients. I would recommend pre booking here if you want to get a good table.

I had booked well in advance and even managed to get our own private balcony!

The views are great to watch the sun setting, to relax and take in the beauty of the volcano and caldera and enjoy some down time with friends and family.

I ordered their signature dish, the shrimp pasta which definitely lived up to the hype. So delicious!

While Fira is the hub of Santorini, I would definitely encourage you to visit Oia. While it may be a little more expensive to stay in Oia, you definitely need to spend a day exploring this quaint and gorgeous little town.

We headed there early one morning and had the whole place to ourselves…so peaceful and beautiful!

Every inch of Oia is beautiful and so photogenic! I couldn't walk more than a few meters without taking a photo.

We even managed to spot a few weddings while exploring the area! What a beautiful place to get married!

It wasn't long before the crowds started to descend, so we found acute little place called Terpsi in Oia. Which was a great place to escape the crowds and enjoy a bite to eat with some beautiful views!

We made our way down to Ammoudi Port for lunch as I had heard this is the best place on the island for fresh seafood. It’s a bit of a walk down some cobbled stairs, but at the end you are greeted with a pretty little bay of restaurants all perched along the water’s edge.

We decided to have lunch at Sunset Ammoudi Taverna and got a table where the waves literally come right up to your feet. We ate some of the best grilled octopus on the island which was caught and brought ashore in the boats right in front of us. You can’t get more fresher than that! We had a long lunch whilst soaking up the surroundings and enjoying the scenery.

It was so much fun doing a girls trip in Greece and having family fly in from all parts of the world. However it was time to say our goodbyes,  I wasn't too sad for long as I had someone very special coming to meet me.....any guesses who?

The Greek islands is one of the most beautiful destinations in the world! It became the perfect holiday when Jake flew in to meet me! I mean it is one of the most romantic places in the world!

There is no other words to describe Santorini than, magical!

I managed to find this super cute white linen jumpsuit in one of the boutique stores on Santorini. So it's not available online, however I found these super cute jumpsuits over on Asos!

Porto Carra has the perfect location for a morning coffee  or freshly squeezed juice with a beautiful roof terrace! It's well worth a visit if you like a brew with a view.

A lot of tourisst do donkey rides, but we felt far too sorry for them to put them through climbing steps for us. We opted for a few donkey cuddles instead.

Looking for the most romantic place on the Island to watch the sunset? We made our way back to Oia which is the most famous place on the Island to watch the sunset. I knew just the place with one of the best seats to watch it from, Sunset restaurant. Here is where you can get one of the islands finest views.

To make sure you get a top table in the front row, all you have to do is purchase a bottle of wine…which we were more than happy to do! What would a beautiful view be without a drink in hand?

We sat drinking, eating and chatting away as the sun slowly dipped lower and lower and we marvelled at the ever changing sky. Looking down at the crowded street below we were pretty happy to find this place!

On our last day we decided it was time to hit the water and made our way to Parissa Beach. We found The Beach Bar where we hang out all day relaxing, sunbathing and chilling by the ocean. It was such a nice way to end the trip.

As soon as I saw these rocks! I instantly thought of the movie Moana! Anyone else a huge fan of this movie? See the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me, and no one knows, how far it goes! I am forever singing this song!

We finished our time in Santorini with a couples shoot with Roberta Photography! I can't wait to share this with you! Watch this space!
