J&J in LA ~ Part Two

La La Land!!! How could we not recreate this famous pose from Emma & Ryan?! We did and saw so much that I have split our LA trip into two posts...Without further ado here is part Two! If you missed Part One you can catch up here.

While in LA In and Out Burger was high on our list of places to try, Jake and I are both foodies and huge burger lovers! The menu is simple but everything is super yummy! You must be prepared for the long lines but, for the low price it's worth it!

Cue next song of the trip…”Take me out to the ball game! Take me out to the crowd!” That's right you guessed it, my first ever baseball game! We headed to Dodgers stadium to watch the LA Dodger's play Arizona. Of course I wouldn't be me unless I had the full get up, including baseball shirt and cap! A very cool experience.

I was continuously distracted by the atmosphere, singing along and getting my American hot dog! But after Jake actually explained how the game worked I was hooked!! I can actually say that I am a baseball fan and can't wait to go to our next game!

The next day was an extra special day as it was Jake’s birthday!!!! We started the morning with an amazing birthday breakfast, a few gifts and a huge cake from the amazing Susie Cakes . If you ever have chance to visit this cake store make sure you do, it's absolute cake heaven!!!

I got Jake the new Jamie Oliver book 5 Ingredients . We are looking forward to testing out some of his recipe's from this book and also a new Herschel wallet. Jake likes the slimmest wallet possible with real functionality, so this was the perfect wallet for him!

After blowing out the candles and making a birthday wish the boys loved smashing the piƱata!

After breakfast we made out way to Venice Beach, a famous boardwalk where you can find skater dudes, weight lifters showing off their muscles and more. The perfect place to rent a bike or skates or just lay back on the beach and relax! Stopping by another famous wall mural on our way!

We also hit a famous LA foodie place called Eggslut. I ordered their classic roll, called 'The Slut' and I now understand all the hype about this place. Best bacon and egg roll ever!

We spent the remainder of our afternoon in Santa Monica Pier which is the perfect family destination and an awesome place to celebrate your birthday with a huge ferris wheel, dozens of games, ice cream and cotton candy all within easy reach!

That evening Jake and I finished celebrating his birthday by running around in the golden hour and creating some magic with Biancca Wallace Photography. You can check out the full post here.

We also managed to enjoy some time at Malibu beach on our last day in LA. This was my favorite beach! I loved walking along the beach looking at all the beautiful homes right against the shoreline and we even managed to spot a couple dolphins in the water!

We ended our trip at the most magical place on earth Disneyland!!! A full post soon along with all the handy tips and tricks to help you save some pennies, beat the queues and make your stay a little more enjoyable coming soon!
