Styled Wedding Shoot - Asylum Church

A little while ago, I got to share a little sneak peak on my social media channels about this incredible styled shoot that Jake and I got to be a part of.  It's always been a dream of mine to be photographed by the lovely and talented Nadia Medi.  Her images are out of this world.  So when she asked if we were available to model for this shoot I immediately lost my cool and did little bit of a dance around our house!  What a dream come true!

We got to work with some of the best wedding vendors in Europe.  I seriously can't even express how amazing these people are!  Seeing everyone bursting with such positive enthusiasm, energy and flair made every moment exciting.  We were so grateful to have the opportunity to work with these remarkable people behind the scenes.

We got to experience what it was like to have a glam squad! The girls from SMUK did an incredible job on my hair and make up.  They were such professionals, and knew all the trade secrets in the beauty industry.  They were constantly on hand for touch ups and to make sure I was always looking my best.  Jake had to get his hair done and glammed up as well.  Gosh, I am so lucky that my husband loves me! (Especially when his wife ropes him into things like this).  He was such a good sport throughout the day....and he scrubs up pretty well if I don't say so myself!

The venue was the Asylum Church in London.  It’s a wildly romantic old chapel that has stunning peeling turquoise walls and dreamy stained glass windows.  Add Jo Flowers into the mix and the place was filled with incomparable beauty with the most beautiful flowers and candles.  I thought I might have died and gone to wedding heaven!

The team at Wonder Wed were the organisers behind the day.  They were totals pro's!  I loved chatting with them by email to prep for "the big day" and when I finally got to meet them there was big hugs all around.  They were absolute stars and so encouraging and kind throughout the whole thing.  They were always on hand to help rearrange my dress or hold my bouquet if needed and they made sure the entire day ran smoothly.

Being photographed by Nadia Meli was an experience in it's self!  She has the most lovely personality and Jake and I could not stop saying how kind and at ease she made us feel.  She kept saying things like "You guys are amazing and so natural at this! Just keep doing what your doing!"  And then every now and then you would get squeals of "YES!! OOHHH!!! LOVE!!"

Sometimes people ask me what would I do differently if I got married again?  Getting to do a styled shoot is so romantic and brings back all those feelings of your actual wedding day.  The best part is, that you get to experience a whole different day at the same time.  Different designs, different colours, dresses, shoes, hair!  This isn't the first styled shoot we have done and I'm not saying it will be our last….because I'll never stop marrying my husband!

I've been dying to share a few of my favourite photos from this extraordinary shoot.  The entire photo shoot can be found here on Ruffled wedding blog.  We absolutely adore these photos!
