We ended our journey in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. This is a gorgeous city with so much history and culture. We wandered around the cobblestone streets looking at landmarks and finding delightful little markets.
For me, the landmark highlight of Zagreb was this small quaint church called St Mark's with the most eye-catching and gorgeous roof. The roof tiles are decorated with the coat of arms of the Triune Kingdom of Croatia, Dalmatia and Slavonia.

We made our way from the main square to Tkalčićeva street. This street is bursting with funky, cool restaurants and is at the heart of eating and drinking in Zagreb. A great place to satisfy those taste buds while enjoying a glass or two. Locals told us that burgers are the thing to eat in Zagreb and that Rocket Burger do the best burgers in town....they weren't lying!
The burgers were perfection! Freshly baked buns, crispy lettuce and perfectly grilled beef patty, all complemented with their secret rocket sauce! Jake had the 'The Bad Boy' pictured below which is described on the menu as "Yeah bad! if you have to ask them, don't do it!"
The fries were extra crispy and amazing too, accompanied with classic tasting coleslaw.
Messy Fries - double cooked fries topped with shredded cheese and crispy bacon.
Are you ready for our burger faces?!
I love wearing all white especially in summer. It's perfect for a hot day exploring and a trend that will always be in!
It was the last day of our trip and we were in the mood to celebrate. It seemed like Verve Clicquot knew it too! Their retro chic pop up bar was at our hotel…pretty much waiting for us!
When we arrived we had the whole place to ourselves and it was like Verve Clicquot had put on a private party just for us! It was a scorching hot summers day and we spent the remainder of our afternoon drinking ice cold champagne while relaxing on their loungers enjoying the service.
Of course we had to try some of their special delicious summer snacks created by chef, Ana Grgić.
I opted for some fresh oysters because you can never get enough of Croatia’s delectable seafood.
We had chocolate fondue with strawberries, mascarpone and chocolate brownies. It was such a great afternoon relaxing, drinking and eating in the sunshine soaking up the fabulous atmosphere.
What a way to end our trip! Over all we absolutely fell in love with Croatia. I hope you enjoyed following me on my adventure....Can't wait to take you along on the next one!
Til next time!
Ah looks amazing. Love seeing your travel pics - so I can live vicariously through you haha.
