J&J in Croatia: Part 3 ~ Sunburst Sailing

It's hard to accurately put into words how amazing this day was. It was truly the highlight of our trip to Croatia. The islands situated off the coast of Split are beautiful and the best way to enjoy them is on a sailboat! We hired a private 42ft yacht named Nera from Sunburst Sailing. Captain John and First Mate, Lynn made sure we were fed and watered while we relaxed soaking up the sun taking in the gorgeous scenery as we sailed through the Adriatic sea. 

We dropped anchor in the most beautiful little bays and spent our time sunbathing on deck and swimming in crystal clear waters. 

Keeping it nice and casual for our day out on the boat with denim shorts and a white linen top. I'm totally obsessed with stripes, so was extremely happy when a spotted this stripy bikini at a steal of a price!

After our exhilarating swimming antics, we enjoyed canapes and drinks on the deck. We were treated to a variety of bruschettas, fresh asparagus wrapped in Dalmatian ham and delicious hors d’oeuvres. 

And then it was back in the water for another swim and snorkel before lunch! 

After a while the aromas coming from the boat made our mouths water. We were greeted back on deck with a beautifully presented lunch accompanied with local wines…absolutely delicious! 

Ahoy Captain! Off we go to the next swimming spot… 

We sailed past secluded little bays and breath taking scenic views. 

Dessert was served on the front deck and a few more wines… 

Then the sails went up as we headed back to the mainland. It was so lovely sunbathing on the deck while looking up at the sails and having a little afternoon-wine-infused snooze on deck. 

It was a day of pure bliss, from the drinks, food, company and breath taking scenic views to swimming in secluded bays. We felt like royalty as they constantly pampered us with drinks and scrumptious gourmet meals. None of us wanted our day to end!
